It's crazy because the day we decided to meet Daniel, was the same day we were supposed to sign a contract with another venue that we were basically settling for. We didn't realize it at the time, but we're pretty sure it was fate looking back on it now.
Nice place but not close to anything. You must bring everything with you that you may want or need. Cellular service is almost non existent. On the plus side they do have good internet service. WiFi calling is good if your phone supports it.
The cabins are something straight out of Southern Living. They spared no expense and each cabin has it's own personality. The whole atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. Daniel made us feel so comfortable, almost like we had just come home. The property is insane, seriously the pictures do not do it justice. Go see it, it's worth it I promise!
My daughter and her husband had their wedding there on December 2nd. Everything was just wonderful! Daniel is such a nice and friendly person, and very easy to talk to. He was always available whenever I had questions, and he also let me and our family come up to the venue several times to look things over and also to look over the cabins. Daniel and his staff were very accommodating and always right there when we needed something. He even checked on us in the cabins to make sure we had everything we needed there too! The venue is beautiful and I would highly recommend it to anyone for any special occasion and the cabins are also beautiful, and I also recommend staying in them if you have an event planned at the venue. Wow, I'm not sure where to begin. I guess I'll start with when we first met Daniel and drove up to Luna's Trail to check out the venue last year. We looked at several venues prior to this road trip and none of them really hit all the marks for us.

I had my wedding there last weekend. I have to say that it was an amazing experience and I couldn't recommend Luna's Trail highly enough!! Ann and Daniel where so accommodating and friendly, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The farm and venue were just stunning and the ability to rent a place to stay on the farm was perfect! Our wedding guests and we ended up staying in all the available housing and each and every one was decorated impeccably making our experience feel like we were in 5 star resort. Many of us stayed for multiple days which made our time there so relaxing. Sitting on our second story deck from the Red Barn and watching the stars at night and then waking up to watch the cows come down to the pasture took us to another world! People were also able to enjoy their time by walking on the trails and fishing or canoeing on the lake. Many folks also enjoyed taking small trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway and into the local towns. The wedding venue itself is just exquisite. From the tin ceilings to the rustic wooden charm, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. Overall just an incredible experience that I will cherish forever!!!
Upon arriving at Luna's Trail we were just blown away. The property was gorgeous. We arrived early and I remember seeing a truck coming down the gravel road to the main building. It was Daniel in a ballcap just smiling away. He took us on the grand tour and honestly, between the views and his hospitality, we were pretty much sold.
At the end of the day there was no question that this was where we wanted to have our special day. It was probably the easiest decision we made during the planning stages of our wedding. Throughout the next year keeping in contact with Daniel was a breeze. He always responded in a timely fashion whether it be texts, emails or phone calls. Everything was pretty much taken care of including having staff on hand to assist us in any way before, during and after the wedding.
My wife and I attended a wedding there this past weekend, and it was honestly the best time I have ever had at a wedding (and ours was amazing!). From the moment you pass through the gate, you are transported to an amazing world, away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world, and into a classic, beautiful scene. Each house and cabin is stunning inside and out. The grounds are kept beautifully, and the venue itself is absolutely top notch. We stayed there for several days and didn't want to leave! The owners Ann and Daniel are the nicest people you will ever meet, and if my wife and I weren't already married... we would definitely make all of our friends fly out to North Carolina for a great time at Luna's Trail!
The wedding, whew. Let me tell you, the guests RAVED about this place. My wife and I were just so happy. Everything was perfect. It was just so beautiful and the venue is what really made it all come together. We will forever be grateful for making our wedding something we, and our guests, will remember forever.
Just when we thought this trip couldn't get any better, Daniel went above and beyond our expectations. I'm so glad I brought my mother and grandmother with us to check this place out. After showing us the main building Daniel said he would return shortly to take us around to the cabins. He returned in a 4-seater ATV to chauffeur us around the property.
As if our expectations hadn't already been exceeded, as we were leaving, Daniel let us pick blueberries, blackberries, and sent us home with 3 dozen fresh eggs from his chickens. The whole experience was just amazing.
